I was messing around last night with the appearance changer and ended up frivolously spending a transform ticket without meaning to, so now i'm different! 

So, a timeline to add to as I go. I wish they'd let you have short hair but maybe its for the best.

The only way to get short hair is through the hair glitch unfortunately!
Well your MC turned out /nice/ even with the changes, so have fun I say. Love the heterochromia, I see Sylus' eye twitch all the way from the n109 zone.

well, didn't even realize heterochromia was a option until i wandered into the thing last night, so i was goofing around with it and thinking "well, going with the thought that if the girlfriend is resonating with her surroundings all the time, weakly resonating with anybody with an evol without any effort, strongly resonating if she engages it consciously and Power Maxxing Mega Sync with the boyfriends mostly against her will because they're just so sympatico with her heart, then when she's around Sylus, wouldn't her eye take on some of his characteristics the more she's in his vicinity?"

so i thought red and tried it and said, no, its resonance, not a copy, its not like she has his aether core so i went with a stronger gold since that was a color in her other eye and it would be on the sliding scale to a red color (yes, i was justifying my choices as i went, i'm sorry) ... and then i hit the Commit Changes button by mistake, so now i guess that's what's happening!

okay, this new eye thing i saved is really starting to grow on me. i am stunning, particularly when i'm borrowing Sylus' evol to paste a bad guy several feet into the ground.

its a human thing, to want some sort of group conformity or an individual level of sympatico. people pick up other people's accents when talking to them, to unconsciously make their speech more similar to their friend's. i remember when i was messing around with PVP in Guild Wars 2 with an online friend, I copied their costume so that we could be as close visually as possible because i wanted us to not be "me and them" against the rest of the server but "us". it felt really good to be a team, you know?

Sylus will just have a whole 'nother layer of greed and possession going on above the usual :P

and while i can't actually have fluctuating details in-game, this eye thing would only really be apparent when she's close to Sylus - more like, a sheen of gold that might be easy to miss or only shows in certain lights - until Resonance in which case it flares up like a beacon and then fades afterwards. or, you know, during "intimate" moments when its not just hearts in rhythm.

I remember the good ol' days of matching your gear/clothes with your team on pretty much every MMO I've played. Genuinely sweet fun.

And I love that detail so much! Like a true soulmate mark, it flares up in certain situations, exactly like their wrist linkage.

apropos of just talking about color-coordinated teamware in MMOs - wayyy back in the day I played City of Heroes which had a stellar customization setup. We (like seven us of in our roleplay group) went with a dumb idea our guild leader had and we all made new characters that were as short as possible, dressed up in fur with the mask that had the.. horn?...on the front, little bunny tails, maybe even bunny ears now that i think about it. and everyone of us was a complete different neon bright color with a big symbol on our chest. i was bright pink I think and my name was Pandemonium Pwny and i was a rad(iation) based build so i could do virulent bubbles and gas effects everywhere. I remember one of us was Radioactive Pwny (very, very green) and there was BioHazard Pwny in bright yellow... it was wild. We ran around in a swarm of these tiny little emancipated critters through the combat zones, dispensing "help" and "favours" on everybody we saw, shouting in /local things like "Caring is Sharing and Sharing means Murder!" and generally running amok. I remember setting up my shouting so that it would have musical notes in it, "singing" about destruction and mayhem.
