I have been noticing a LOT of new lighting tricks in the last couple of cards. The boys move off screen more when something is "happening", they move in and out of shadow, and yes, disappearing chocolate!

i really want this card but i am 31 on the hit list for pity count which i don't want to wreck, 5 free golden tickets stored up (I know, but anything above zero is a good thing) and we're heading like a steam train for the end of the year and probably a whole bunch of goodies. i love Rafayel, but i am sitting on my proverbial spending fingers. if YOU get it, please post the really good sceenshots!

I will! I actually changed my strategy because I realized having a whole mountain of red dias always available gave me the wrong idea about how many tickets I had (even though I know how many dias/tickets I need for a guaranteed card, seeing my dias in the 30k makes my brain go "oh, so many!") and I was more tempted to use dias for quick stamina fixes etc. So I started immediately changing them into golden tickets as soon as I can buy 10. That way I can see how regularly my stack grows, I keep the red dias constantly low and my managing got better because of it.
Case in point, I pulled this card until I could rank it (and I lost the first 50/50 too) because I needed it to clear fire orbit 210, and I did!!! I still have 140 tickets so I'm guaranteed in the next trip to hell, but this one I can't regret because I really really really wanted to graduate Fire Orbits.

I also watched the card, it was pretty nice even though nothing as groundbreaking as the past lore drops we got with Raf. It still had its angsty and melancholic twists because of course it did, it's Raf we're talking about. But it's a really nice card and I'm happy to have it.

I'll post screenshots as soon as I make them (I played it without even changing my MC's appearance, so I'll definitely do another run)!

OK I had a couple of days to replay the card, play through the event (the sorting mini game will be so missed once it goes away again), and go through a few Raf related groups to read some good theory/analysis about it. Final score: I take back what I said earlier, the card is more than nice and it's putting on the table quite a few important pieces. The backstory drop is sweet and sad and melancholic etc. but it might also tie into his first bond story and one specific idle animation he has, and I'm just so weak for the writers seemingly adding context to things that were always under my nose. The characterization we get is also perfectly in line with the cards we got from Raf this year, and they're probably preparing us for the main story drop (whenever they'll decide to give it to us) because we've been getting a very specific side of Rafayel quite regularly now.

The event that goes together with this banner was also very cute and got me giggling and kicking my feet especially in the last 2 chapters. Without risking spoilers in case you still haven't played it, there's a point where Raf refers to MC and himself as "the detective and the magician" and I circled back to the archetype conversation we had months ago. Just good things all around.

I still have to take the proper screenshots but it's because I wanted to use my emulator to do that, from Ipad I never seem to get the pause button to work fast enough.

i love that stupid mini game. they can bring it back anytime, i always love sorting colorful shelves into order.

i will be on the last chapter of the mini-story tonight i think, it wasn't open for me this morning but i've watched/played the first three!
