So we now have an official
anti-fraud singing ad (yes, the irony of infold doing anti-fraud ad is not lost on me) full of puns.
And because we're miles and miles behind the cn version of this game, the cn VAs go around singing enough times that you can find
entire compilations online (can't embed from twitter nor reddit, so the old link it is).

The chibi characters are cute, and it's not the first time we see them dance (on infold's official youtube they uploaded another dance choreo last year around Christmas I believe). That we're gradually introducing proper singing by the VAs is also very nice and I wish we got that for the other languages too, though I understand it all depends on how comfortable and/or trained the VAs are for that. That we get our beloved characters to move their mouths and repeat whatever government-sanctioned message infold is paid to repeat is that kind of nice immersion breaking stuff that keeps my parasocial relationship to this game on healthy levels. Whenever I get too invested in my fictional husbands they pull some cheap copaganda and I walk back to a proper distance.
To be fair, LADS is used quite a bit. Xavier had an official collaboration during the China Space Day national event last year. During each of the LIs' birthday events you get youtube docu-videos explaining some facet of Chinese cultural tradition or natural landscape, which is also reflected in many of their choices during banners. And this is the charm of it, surely, but at times you squint a bit and see the soft-power international glow up that comfortably sits behind it. Not dissimilar to BTS (underdogs, against the oppressive establishment and corruption) being rewarded by the government for promoting Korean culture to the world.
