It's 4AM, daylight saving time got me staring at the ceiling in my bed and then THIS drops and I've never been more awake. Fuck it I guess I'm not gonna sleep tonight. This is possibly the most hilarious concept they've pulled yet, and they have a cat hybrid transformation in their archive, mind you. I can't believe the rumors were correct. 



They're really gonna make me pull for at least 3 of them, aren't they.

well. uh. that will teach me to check the forum before i wander off to bed.

i am.. kind of taken aback! i was not ready for that much sincere innuendo in my ear before teeth brushing time. i need.. i need sylus, caleb and rafayel, they were hot as hell. i have to admit, i couldn't take zayne seriously and xavier was just too cute.

its not catch 22 but wow, okay! i could get behind this, just give me a minute.

Unless you mind spoilers, I would invite you to check the main love and deepspace account for the longer pv of their solo/duo choreo and then the spicy part, because you really get a better feel of what we're dealing with.

Overall, I would say: 

- Sylus for the kissing animation. In the beach banner all the kisses were still a little awkward (with some MC faces the lips weren't even touching) but oh my god Sylus' make out scene is /chef's kiss
- Xav for the song and the body rolls. He's cute and then suddenly spicy, that's just how he and MC usually are.
- Zayne for... this one is hard because he's last in my list of favs and my eyes can't lock on a specific detail where his card peaks over the others. A bit like Xav, parts of the duo choreo were very suggestive, and the song is a nice departure from the usual hyperpop electro beat typical of idol music.
- Caleb for the make out position (but RIP to us, I heard the popping kissing noises even in the trailer) and that thing he does in choreo where his fingers go all the way down to his dick lol Also the lyrics for his song are full of "this is forbidden" "loving you is wrong" and I knew as an idol he'd make an entire album about loving his meimei that his fans would misinterpret about being in love with a married woman or something.
- Raf for choreo, fingers and hair animation. I couldn't stop looking at his hair, it was so flowy and reactive, it wasn't like that in past cards.

And while there's the usual group of fans dissatisfied with the concept and complaining that it's cringe (embrace it, I predict this will be an iconic banner like catch 22 and cat caretaker), this really is a huge step forward in terms of kindle animations. We're getting them moving full body with a 360 camera work, we used to be lucky if we saw them walking for a couple of frames. This is setting the standard for what they can do in the future as well. And don't even get me started with the fact that they made 5 songs specific for each LI. This is a mobile game.

Okay, finally had a chance to watch it more closely on youtube.

-- I grooved with Xavier and Caleb's music the most, but Sylus' was good too. I didn't really care for Zayne or Rayafel's backbeat to be fair but that's also okay.
-- Rafayel had the hottest outfit and hair combo (REALLY like his hair!)
-- Sylus & MC's had the best duo thing if you ask me, because I am pretty sure that the entire audience wanted to pull Sylus down off his non-existent pole and the slink when the girlfriend showed up was a step above
--  Caleb wins with the pin-the-girlfriend-to-the-table and hitch-leg-over-hip combo.  Sylus gets honorable mention for just going straight for the floor, no pit stops for a sandwich along the way

I'mma pull for Sylus, and its toss up between Caleb and Rafayel if I go for a second helping.

PS: Zayne really seems to enjoy the height difference. Maybe its just projection but it really feels like he likes to loom over the girlfriend as a specific kink. All the guys are tall but he seems to really dig it, you know?

PPS: 'the usual group of fans' have obviously never watched Taemin's Move choreo video on fascinated repeat like some people have (me. i'm some people).

-- I'll confess I can't help but giggle at Sylus' song, the lyrics are extremely funny to me and it breaks immersion a bit.
Admittedly, I have the same reaction with any j/c/kpop song that leans too much into "oh I so cool I so boss mmmh so power" I blame the writers for that. 
-- Musically wise, Xavier's is probably the one that I find more pleasant to listen to, but all of them have their little section of "fuck now it's stuck in my head."
-- The half tango SylusMC had going with a few poses was so good! And I love her red outfit. My only problem with his dance scene specifically is that his body is too long/tall for some of the movements he pulls, and that makes the arms look odd to me when they're stretched above his head. Zayne and Caleb (who are also very tall) avoid this visual "bug" by keeping the arms lower almost the entire time. I know it doesn't have much to do with the choreo itself nor the music or the duet, but whenever I see those shoulders rotate as the arms go up I'm violently thrown back to the hours spent in blender as I watch my sim rig gallop its way into uncanny valley territory. I might get over it in a few replays though.
-- Agreed on the poses. But I need to mention Xavier who gets pinned against the wall as MC kneels behind him to kiss his hip. Plus those heavy body rolls he does on her (on the floor, too) during the choreo.

P.S. If I had a nickel for every single time Zayne has smirked as he looked down at MC I would have more than 1 nickel, which says a lot, yeah.

P.P.S. Do not remind me of that music video, I think a few thousand views are from me alone spread across the performance video and the choreo practice one.

he's also got a kiss on his left shoulder-adjacent area, just under the clavicle - its a quick flash during one of his moves and the edge of the kiss mark is partially occluded, which kind of makes me me wonder if its just a design/sticker, instead of actual lipstick. or its actually lipstick and somebody stumbled onto stage with the evidence still showing :D

i think now we all need to go back and watch Taemin's video again, you know, just to be in the right headspace for this.

Yeah I haven't watched his card yet but people say he was /horny/ horny.
Meanwhile I'm having fun with the event, it's very neon-cute. And I decided to test 20 pulls (10 of which free thanks to the event) and guess who immediately came home. BADASS TRIGGER BADASS WITH A GUN.
I just know Raf will force me into hard pity before the precise wish is activated.

EDIT: They also updated a few things around, mainly new voiced lines in the cafè, some very welcome battle optimization, and the thing that made me moan out loud - a proper filtering system in the Card memories page.

EDIT 2: 76 wish total and I got Raf. Which is okay, I needed 75 pulls to reach the crate anyway.

this new event is a real thing, ain't it? i spent 45 minutes this morning just going through everything and trying to do the little platformer game (oh, i am TERRIBLE at platformers, i am glad nobody is watching me) and then ran through one of the stories as far as I could with the time i had.  this seems.. this seems like a lot? like, is it my imagination or is there more to this event than we've gotten before?
