if i had to pick just one... might I suggest Sylus?

he's either just been had or just about to be had. the growl in his voice in either direction is likely to cause power surges to the local energy grid. there might be rolling brownouts.

Caleb might be a tad busy to concentrate, as it looks like half the building is exploding. he's either causing it or keeping it from causing on top of him so the pillow talk is likely to strained and/or full of military jargon and barked non-sexy orders.

You make very good points. "Shared bliss" is also a very suggestive title. I don't think infold would gift us a spicy secret time just like that, but who knows, they have surprised us multiple times with their bold choices.
I might wait for the cards to be out to make my final choice, but I'm also kinda looking at stellactrum options. Sylus is tragically lacking in cards (he just won't come home to me, possibly because Caleb is stalking my house - let me free explosion boy, leave some for the rest of the group!) but I have seen insane things done with Abysm Sovereign and brute force teams where people didn't even bother to put all the cards in, so I might just end up getting him too in time for the rerun.
(speaking of his rumored AS rerun + new myth almost back to back: technically the new gen myths are all sensibly stronger than the past ones, but I fear a KOD repeat with Sylus too. And AS has been proven to be THE brute forcing companion. So now I wonder if I should go with what I know has worked until now, or take a bet with the new myth. I definitely don't have the gems nor the will to invest in both, I have all the multi banners in the middle with Raf to think about)

Ok I've watched both cards on youtube, and Caleb was very very cute and also had a little bit of character development that's always nice, but Sylus...oh my god. He didn't need to go this hard to get people to buy his card.

i am no help on the "Do I Get Abysm Sovereign As A Proven Companion Or Do I Take A Risk On The New One" because i am saving for both. I am usually the Take A Chance! sort of person but that's on my personal time - when it comes to gambling, i clutch my tokens like i'm an old biddy who drives the speed limit every time.

like, i was in a huge casino when I visited New Orleans once and spent exactly 5c in a penny slot machine, won 50c and immediately stopped.

I also have to think about the fact that all my problems stem from not having all the Raf myth companions while I'm still building up his 5* cards. So I'm stuck in some orbits that I could technically clear with him alone if I had him ranked and with more complete teams. I could start building a second LI just for the battling teams, but that would mean throwing upgrading resources on cards that I might not love only to clear orbits that I would still manage with Raf alone if given enough time.
So in the end I believe I'll Marie Kondo the whole thing. If AS sparks joy I'll take him, if he doesn't in comparison to the other Raf cards and potential multi runs we'll get, he'll sit prettily on the side.
