played this morning (as usual) and i noticed nothing in the way of lag except for when i had to dump to the background of the emulator, where it went a little wonky trying to scale from big resolution to regular resolution and back again. didn't crash though, i didn't see any screen tearing or graphic artefacts so this is now our (uh, mine, but this is communist lads) new default.
i don't know that i care for extra antialiasing - Reshade has presets for four different styles from heavy to light, and even the light one kind of fuzzes things out in the UI more than I care for and I can't tell if it makes that much of a realistic difference in the screenshots.
if its okay with you, i may set up another test run of three layouts at oversized, oversized with light antialias and oversize with heavy antialias and you can hopefully tell me what looks best on your side.
as a silver lining with all this messing around, i am immediately going to run another capture on Total Blockade when I have an hour and a half not dedicated to anything else and get squeezably big screenshots of it. (this is why nothing gets done. i have too much of fan overdose so i paddle from project to project making chipmunk noises and advancing things by inches).
