okay, two minutes and a reddit thread and it looks like you CAN run Reshade using a bunch of hoops through Bluestacks. I am going to organize some pictures for the forum and then tackle that while i eat dinner. /wishes self a bunch of luck.
i can tell you that Bluestacks wants to use my native resolution of 1080 x 1920 and it sticks to that consistently. maybe there's a way to force a higher resolution? hmm.
EDIT
could it... could it be that simple?
before attempting the esoteric Reshade idea (which I am still going to try and do if only to mess with alpha channels and see if its possible to extract out the boys from their backgrounds and then REALLY have some fun in a graphic program) i went into the emulator settings and just cranked it to double at 3840 x 2160, grabbed the same Sylus template from last time and yeah... its saving the screenshots at double my native resolution.
links below to the original res and the "upscaled" res - are you seeing a difference? these are linked to the bigger versions.
MORE EDIT
Got Reshade running as well, seems okay. Applied a light antialias filter on it and it made a little bit of difference when zooming in, particularly in the flower edges so will leave that on for now and we'll see how the screenshots look going forward with it.
