I tried in game from my Ipad, and the pictures look clear and smooth right until you start zooming a lot, and then things get fucked up.
So I think the problem is that we're making the images bigger than their original size without a proper upscaling method that would save the details.
I also checked the pictures I got from glint photobooth on the emulator, direct screenshots, and then my in-game album from the ipad saved directly into my icloud.

900x1600 is the size I had for the pictures I take from glint on the emulator. Changing mumu's settings and forcing it to use DirectX rather than Vulkan, plus changing the resolution to 1080x1920 already helped.

The pictures I take from glint on my ipad, then download locally to my ipad, then transfer through icloud to my pc have a completely different resolution: 1640x2360. I zoom on the flowers and again we'll have problems, but with that size to begin with you don't usually need to zoom in all that much at all.
