i have gotten past the part of Cloudfall, where he puts a big bite mark on her neck as a timer/countdown and when i was looking at the trailer again on this, i'm like... HEY! I KNOW THAT MOVE!
I am on Part 6 (?) in the Cloudfall myth where Sylus has gone off his desire rocker a little bit and she stabbed him with an imaginary greatsword then immediately regretted it and fended off the Justicars while he rampaged behind a door before shattering a few buildings on his way out of the city. I did it this morning before work and forgive me, there was text at the end that seemed to imply that his curse (?!) just about triggered to its terrible, terrible end because he nearly ate her alive when his aethercore ramped up with her touch.
I have to go over that again because i understood it and kind of didn't understand it at the same time.

Consider Sylus afflicted with the same problem he has in his present timeline: something within himself (his core, in this case) wants to devour MC's something within herself. And in his dragon form he's bound to do that sooner rather than later.
Congrats for hitting the most iconic Sylus quote: "Have you spun so many lies that you’ve begun to believe them yourself? Shall I remind you? You are nothing. You are but a soul that was fed by a fiend."
[excellent choice with your choice of quotes. The way he says "always" is a thing of beauty and sin]
