Work is kicking my ass but I wouldn't miss this for the world. Did I get him? Yes. Did I also get the other two birthday cards that are rerunning and that I was missing because I joined the game too late? Yes. Do I regret it? Absolutely not. Am I mad because the EN team or infold at large is doing something which is causing the voice lines to speed up to the point where half of this card sounds 2x? Yes.

This birthday card is literally just RafMC overwriting the sadness that was his second anecdote, with a couple of very angsty references turned bittersweet now that he's with MC. The pattern with the other bday cards seems to be: 1. Just him and MC 2. RafMC with his Lemurian people 3. RafMC with his human people. It's sweet, you see his world expanding and more people showing appreciation for him. The minigame is also fun, the plushie is <333 and overall it's just a sweet banner to be in. Very nice <3

He wakes from his stranded dreamscape. 
Seeing her figure leaning over him. Light surrounds her.
"You're finally awake!"
"You saved me..."
Fingertips touch in the warm breeze as waves inscribe their innocent bond.
They bid farewell in the sunset's last ray.
Perhaps there's anticipation for a reunion or another first meeting.

2 Disillusionment
He rode upon whale songs and swam through carefree waters surrounded by companions.
Coral forests laid out pink dreams beneath the moon.
Until that night when their promise was broken.
Blood washes over crushed branches as destroyed walls were piled into tombstones for his people.
In bone-piercing flames, he tears through the water.
His shattered scales fall in a howl of despair.
Faster. Please, faster.


3 Hesitation
Cold rain falls upon his gaunt spine and blurs the path ahead.
The bustling crowds conceal his presence, yet they also block any warmth from reaching him.
Who is he? Where should he set his brush?
Time and time again, he remembers and sketches.
Yet the discarded drawings never capture the sounds of home.
He can no longer see his own reflection.


4 Vengenance
a siren's aria swirls across the domed ceiling.
it soothes the anxiety of the innocent while weaving a dirge for the guilty
Within the silent net woven from countless watching eyes...
He donned a mask and concealed himself in the shadows.
A soul-devouring curse hangs over the greedy's broken wine glasses.
Beneath crystalline lights and between curtains, the flames of revenge quietly burn.


5 Reunion
The afternoon breeze caresses the sheer curtains.
It reaches the dust in the empty room.
He arrives alone in an unfamiliar city.
His paintbrushes waiting for a new round of judgment.
Yet unexpectedly the first thing he paints is a brief, unexpected reunion.
"It's her..."
The sea breeze carries the salty, bitter tides of bygone days. 
It smashes an unfulfilled promise against the window.
The one who broke the promise, long time no see.

The lost ancient city appears in a rift between time and space.
It calls to Lemuria's wandering children with the song of a fallen whale.
With the Sea God's power, he guides the drifting souls back to their homeland.
"There must be another way."
"...Leave. And take my longing with you.
Their bond burns his heart like lava.
The seawater suddenly crystallizes into countless broken mirrors.
Amid the rushing torrents pulling them apart, they reach out. Their hands trembled as they did on the day they first met.

Only we never got to listen to the entire passage in the myth, which is instead written on that paper! It was there the entire time!

And this is the paper on the left: 

"City in ruins kingdom in collapse.
Divine protection was overthrown,
while the ancient prophecy sounded
again ——
What is born of love,
is ultimately buried with love."

(It should be noted that "love" is specifically erotas, passionate romantic/sexual love)

We already know that prophecies/legends/songs about Lemuria echo real events and dialogues between our characters. What we learn was the Siren's Ballad (from Raf's opera anecdote) ended up being what MC recited as she imprisoned Raf at the bottom of the ocean in the myth, thousands and thousands of years before that song was even written, probably. 
And most of all, the fact that those pages are hand-written and scattered on the floor that Raf walks over seems to imply that he does remember that time, at least in fragments.

Theory: in the WU text you read about Raf, it was mentioned that he suffers from nightmares (it's also mentioned in a few cafè lines and I think in a Secret Time?). What if that's how he has access to his past lives, through memories fragmented in dream scenes?
