i read alllll the posts! what i remember out of them is up for grabs though. the weekend is coming, i was going to go through all the new cards I got then, as well as the Abysswalker myth and THEN i was going to go back to pick up Lucid Dreams. just so you're vaguely aware of my lore acquisition timeline.
re/bonding etc - yeah, i grok that. one guesses that the original 'contract' was meant to be strictly between Lemurians, where the devotion is nearly forced to go both ways because they wouldn't bond without a compelling reason to do so (ie, love everlasting). its the human-lemurian thing that's tricky, because while the gains are potentially much, much higher, the risk is commensurately greater if you don't pick the right human and/or don't Sacrifice them fast enough and/or you fall in love with them and don't want to take the last step anymore.
bear with me here on a small journey of what if - can a Lemurian do the bond thing over and over and over again with many humans, gaining a little power each time from squeezing out small amounts of caring from each one over a very long lifespan? basically reducing the risk to its bare minimum and Sacrificing faster for less reward, but accumulating gains over time?
and yas, the double-amnesia (or reincarnation blindness + i've been asleep too long to remember my own name barely) was great! yes, you're supposed to fall in love with me at least and aren't i just so charming with my wily siren ways to make that pill go down a little easier, but don't expect me to reciprocate, that's just a silly human thing. and if you don't fall in love, i kill you anyways and take your city with me, so chop chop honeybunch.
