I'm still stuck on that "sacrificed his follower to save lemuria" because I don't believe lemuria got its sun back after the ceremony. IMO that could simply mean that people believed he had actually killed her to save lemuria but it had still failed for some reason.
But if we think that his own magic could have sustained lemuria for a bit, it could be that she is then reborn as a witch of the abyss, they meet again, Raf sacrifices himself to make her human again, dissolves into foam, and that automatically destroys the source of the fake-sun's power in lemuria, thus making it collapse once and for all.
It can work.
