A few details:
- In CN it says they're twins, whereas EN focuses more on the generic "from the same source" that we also saw in Decoherence
- They're in the lowest death realm, the ninth one (it's mirrored with nine levels of heaven, where it seems the sun went out? They have to restore it for balance?)
- Lots of ying yang imagery with them as usual, it's even more reinforced at the end with them on the bridge, cut in half by the shadow
- Speaking of that bridge: interesting how MC goes to the dark side while Caleb on the sun-lit one. That bridge is the Naihe Bridge, which souls need to cross to reincarnate. To do that, they need to first forget everything about their previous life by drinking from the Tea of Forgetfulness (interestingly enough: "Its method of preparation involves blending human souls with medicinal herbs gathered from the mortal world" and what was Caleb's role in the Chinese anniversary banner?). So MC walking by Caleb without even looking back might be because she forgot him. Did he also forget? Did he fake it to free her, so now he's stuck? But he's walking into the light while she's going into the dark, so is he the one who's going to reincarnate?
Also, them drinking together with their arms linked like that is a familiar wedding imagery, and the red veil in one of his 4*cards is also reminiscent of honggaitou, a wedding traditional veil.
So they might have mixed together the wedding with the tea of forgetfulness.
- Them near fucking resembles the healing ritual ZayneMC had in his 3rd myth. We might be looking at a ritualistic cultivation again, but Caleb's line about MC being hungry again/already seems to hint at the fact that there's maybe something wrong with her and he's taking care of her health.
