so, like, this morning they have enabled a new event that lets you get a fancy 5star repeat out of the Empyrean Wish pool, please pick your top five choices with a 70% chance to get one of them on the five star drop.

but

i only had four left remaining out of that pool still to get! AND i was sitting on 3 SSR boxes waiting for a fourth to arrive so then i could get everything in one fell swoop and/or for one of the missing ones to just drop randomly in which case i'd use my three crates to get the rest and complete the set.

i had 34 e-tickets built up, so i cracked my knuckles and got started. picked the four that i didn't have + one card for Farspace Colonel so even if I missed out on what i really wanted, i could at least have a shot at r2'ing that companion and started pulling. and, like, pull 22 or something, I get one of the Lightseeker cards so i promptly stopped, used my SSR crates and i'm done without having spent a dime! and i still have 20 or so tickets to get around to using at some point for no reason, or i guess i could just hoard them for another opportunity like this. 

i have arranged all my little pictures on the website with my new acquisitions, I now have Relentless Conquerer and Lightseeker and so two more stories to throw on the pile to watch through when I can. 

i have been so lucky on pulls the last little while, its been crazy.

It usually comes out when a new LI is introduced (or at least, it was there for Sylus and Caleb), because it allows you to select the new character's cards all in one go. Clearly this wasn't the case this time around, but still very useful. I poured 20 dollars to reach 100 pulls and get the first 5 star crate. The two 4 stars won't be used at all, maybe in the future if they update the pool or introduce a new LI they'll become useful. I was unlucky with the randomized 5* crate but I managed to r3 half of Abysswalker myth, and I used the one we got from the anniversary banner login reward to r3 the other half. So his standard myth is officially maxed out!

I considered completing Zayne or Sylus standard myths with the crates, but I'm already fighting with vampire Sylus, and arctic Zayne still kicks ass, so I don't actually need to have those cards now and can just wait for the gacha gods to deliver them to me at some point.

I hope this luck will carry over to the next banners!
We might have Caleb's X-02 rerun, then the valentine's multi, then Caleb's new myth (which is rumored to be extremely juicy), so we'll definitely need all the tickets we can spare!

as i mentioned somewhere else on this amoeba of a board, i will sell a vaguely unneeded internal organ for X-02 (and Painful Signal). i already eat ramen all the time for fun so i don't think i can pull from the food budget... although i guess i could drop cheese for the month; that stuff is pricey.

i have Farspace Colonel at R2 now so i have his torn outfit - maybe i can nurse the guy back to health through the rent fabric with some judicious posing or something. c'mere gege, let me kiss it all better.

i feel with this last update that i've been scrambling even more in the game than usual. the Home system is cool but man, i was not expecting my side chick game to take this much attention. my new years resolution is to focus on LaDS to the exclusion of nearly all else and try at get at least a little caught up. i've backlogged nearly everything the last couple of month and now i've had to throw on Lightseeker and Conqueror. does it never end?! (it never ends).

Enjoy this panic, it's exclusive to someone who's starting the game or has managed to queue a bunch of cards. The rest of us keeping up to date with everything have an endorphin spike the first day of every new banner and then promptly fall into depression for the next week or two until we get a new trailer or something.
You'll miss having things to look at whenever you want.

The home system was made for those of us who were complaining about not having anything to do between banners, I'm sure (actually not true, LADS is now marketing itself as a simulation game, which opens up a whole new section of gamers who just happen to be heartbroken because of the current state of the sims and who are desperate for an alternative). It's such a huge black hole of time, I'm glad I was already done with Rafayel's orbits because fake sims is where I immediately go 2 minutes after logging in. Very smart move by infold, but holy hell. I believe it's not a coincidence that this new main story update hasn't exploded on social media, there's too much stuff all at the same time and people are procrastinating everything lol.

I shall be here eagerly waiting for you to catch up on all the good stuff and depressing lore! At some point, youtube videos put on 2x speed will have to be employed, I'm sure.

Thank you, I appreciate your comforting words. I'm also very good at keeping my fish withdrawal at bay thanks to the reminder that my wallet enjoys (and needs) the little breather here and there. And the first half of the year is always a blood bath with Raf because of all the banners back to back, so I'm relaxing for now. Let's hope Caleb doesn't crash my party again by turning up in 10 pulls when I'm just trying to get rid of the free limited tickets during his banners. He's so annoying, I love him.

No one would think less of you, least of all moi :P I'm a hardcore enjoyer of the speedy dialogues myself. Life is short, we live only once, etc.
