well, not stopped stopped, but ran into an aggravating issue last night.

the game isn't rotating anymore when it enters a combat area. well, the picture rotates but the orientation remains portrait so now my battlefield is restricted to the middle square of the viewing field and none of the buttons work because they're in the wrong place.

doctor-google offered two solutions:

1. uninstall the game and reinstall will fix this issue. this is a frightening idea, what if i do that, log in and it asks me to create a character and i lose all progress? it would not be the end of the world because i have only been playing for a couple of week and i could power through a second time  but dear lord, what a mess.
   
2. use a different emulator, ie, the recommended "mumuplayer" which the devs say is the best one for LaDS. still a pain, would have to sit and reconfigure everything  and figure out a new piece of software.
   

i went with option 2, downloaded the new player, installed the game and tried logging in, hoping it would know me from my google email address. and... i got Please Create New Character, it didn't log me into my actual game.

so now i'm stumped. what do i dooooo.

[this is a rant at the void, you probably can't help but i have a forum, i can post on it and by gum, i'm going to. good gravy, what the hell is with this game, does it NOT want me to fall in virtual love or something?!?]

The fact that it sent you to making a new character is odd. For example, between ipad, phone, and bluestacks on my computer, I downloaded Lads multiple times (especially with the recent update) and it never failed to get me into my proper character once logged in. Are you sure the server is also the same as the one you always used?

oh, there's a thought. I don't remember if it picked me the same server or not - I will check again tonight, maybe that's all it is.

if that isn't the case (and the situation has not auto-magically resolved itself in the last 12 hours), then I will reinstall on Bluestacks and pray to god it remembers me.

I'll pray with you, though absolutely consider whatever emulator people suggest to be the best. I got it on bluestack as a backup plan in case I failed to free enough space on my ipad and phone for the new game version, but I haven't played on it enough to know if it's reliable.

Okay, I checked the recommended emulator to see if it was a server thing and no, it was logging me into the right server, but now i have a brand new level 1 character on it.

And it was a very shoddy connection; the loading screen and music was stuttering like crazy, i'm guessing this thing is based in China which is nowhere near me.

so i have bitten the frightened bullet, uninstalled and am now in the throes of reinstalling and updating the game on Bluestacks. i hope this works.

EDIT:  okay, an hour and a heart attack later, i'm back in bizness, baybeeee!

got it all patched up, hooked up my email address and went to log in  (after carefully checking the server) and it wanted to set me at level 1 again. so, a heart palpitation or two later, i backed out, really really thought about it and went... what are the chances i used my OLD email account instead of my new one? i've played infold games before, maybe it remembers younger me instead of improved me.

so i figured out how to log in with different google account and voila, i'm level 53 again. i back patted like there was going to be a test on it, and when hunkered down and started pulling golden tickets. one at a time. for funsies.

i got a passel (like maybe 5 or 6) new four star cards and i realized that actually, not only could i click on them to make the ui go away for a screenshot, those suckers * rotate * for a larger, landscape view. so now i have a whole bunch of new images for the front page.

AND i got Caleb's flower card around pull 65 and Zayne around pull 73, lucky lucky me! so now i have the two guys I really wanted most and still have about 3000 diamonds.  big question for tomorrow is -- do i spent everything else plus whatever else to take to get Sylus?

i will sleep on it, this is not a decision for this instant.  but i am so excited to do all the new story stuff that I unlocked with phone calls and stuff that are piling up in the background. woot!

CONGRATS I'm so happy you managed to fix the problem. Occam's razor, as usual. It was either the server or the mail account.

Landscape view on cards is fun because sometimes you don't know what's going on until you enlarge the picture.

If you're undecided, you can check Sylus card on youtube and see if you like it enough to pull from it. Consider that the spring date that is happening in these cards is set in the future, past the main storyline currently out. All the LIs are full on established romantic relationship with MC, so similarly to Abyssal Chaos, you'll get them talking of things that you might not have discovered yet in the main storyline or in some of their cards.
Your choice whether to jump in and then hype yourself up because you want to know what they're talking about, or if you want to wait until you know what's going on before playing the 5-card story :>

hah! i'm am in this for the KISSING. and the very romantic looking cutscenes that are attached. and that shirt that Sylus is sporting is the absolute bomb.

upon reflection in the cold light of day though, i think i will stop here. i did get lucky on two card pulls that were within my diamond limit and more stuff will arrive soon enough to gamble on. i may sneak a few more pulls in before the event closes if i'm feeling super lucky one day, as the game is still raining diamonds on me.

i am going to heroically wait to play the storylines in them though until i get through the main story offerings. i am not in a rush, this is marathon, not a sprint. repeat to self, i am not in a rush.

In general you can think of it like if you had discovered Raf is a merman from a dialogue line casually thrown in, rather than the 4 seconds of "?????" you got from the main storyline where it was meant to be revealed as big plot twist (more or less, the entire fandom knew because Raf was officially introduced to us as a big fishie, but this was the point where the cinematic plot point was supposed to show up).
The writing packs a punch, and it's best delivered when you know what they're referencing. But also making out in a field of flowers, yes.

I support your decision, it's a good one. The red diamonds you're getting now are once in a lifetime kind of deal, so use them well and without regrets! With all the banners that will come up constantly for the rest of the year, you'll always be wanting to pull for something, so figuring out the point where you can feel satisfied is vital to avoid burnout.
