i feel like i have to own this for those 1.5 seconds alone.  please judge me mildly, i was not built to resist this much temptation.

i have about 15 pulls left for the guaranteed 5* which i will no doubt lose but i will be strong and persevere. maybe Farspace Bloomfall will come home to me? dare i hope?  when i get home tonight after work, i'll sit down with a lucky cup of coffee and finish the pull until Nurse BossMan comes home to me.

in further news, i threw in the couple of tickets i saved from the previous banner and bought some cheap ones to ease the strain on the diamonds and got Whalefall Lament out of nowhere! i felt super smug :D  Rafayel, you are my favorite. every time i think about your entire... thing... i rub my hands with angst glee. 



EDIT: also also! my favorite mini game is back! i LOVE sorting those shelves, i could do that every time.

And I'm totally not ashamed to admit that I pulled for this card. Should I have? Debatable. But that accessory+pose were calling to me, I had 26 free tickets saved on the side, plus the ones you get by pulling in the event I ended up spending only 2k red diamonds (I have more than 25k left) to get to the 50 pulls I needed. The card is very cute too, so I won't complain.
My pity is now reset at 65, but we have Zayne's myth, Xav's birthday etc. There's time for me to chip away at it or save more diamonds. In the end I feel like lowering my pity is only the illusion of convenience: the pulls I'm saving by having low pity in X banner were still spent in the previous one to get to that point, so it's not like I'm actually saving money or anything.
That's me rationalizing getting Passionate Appraisal rank 1, hope you enjoyed.

Whalefall Lament, my beloved. I used that picture as background for Raf's phone calls for almost the entire time I've had the game. And yes, you can always trust Raf to deliver angst somehow somewhere :D

P.S. Oh my god yes that mini game is finally back! Sylus' laugh is sweet and wholesome but I confess I miss that low laugh Xavier blessed us with when the game was linked to his solo banner. I still think about that.

was it one of the Rendezvous cards? it was one of the Rendezvous cards probably. I am pretty sure Catch-22 would have been both hands on deck.

its a good thing we're not talking ourselves into pulling cards willy nilly or anything. i am vaguely considering Zayne's myth if only to have something for Zayne but i am reserving judgement unless I see the theme of it. if it's something around Dawnbreaker, i will probably cave but i think i could hold out on anything else.

Agreed. I'm still debating on the AS rerun and actually pushed Sy's new myth down the list of priorities because that will be rerun next year, but I have no idea if they'll rerun AS a second time (crying because I didn't join in time for God Of Tides rerun, so who knows if I'll manage to get it at some point in the future) so IF I pull it will be for that most likely. Zayne and Xav I'll skip, Caleb is the one LI that insists on coming home to me even if I'm pulling for someone else so I'll just let him do his thing. If I don't pull for AS more diamonds for the next multis, since christmas/new years/chinese new years/valentines will be hell on my wallet anyway.

as expected, i totally failed on the 50/50 and got a repeat card for Xavier (thanks Xavier, but you didn't have to, i swear) and then all the way to pity before Sylus finally slunk in from the rain and pretended he hadn't been out all night, worrying me sick.

along the way I picked up Awaiting for Sylus and Ocean At Night for Rafayel though, so i am always excited for new cards. i am going to save them for the weekend.

Oh those are NICE. And Sy's card is the sweetest thing.
I take for granted that it's going to take me 70 pulls before I hit a 5*. Solo banners have a weird luck with me where I get the card soon only if I don't need it (Caleb; Sylus this time since I was pulling for the accessory and the pose and not for his card). Otherwise all the way to hard pity and if it's a multi banner I'll need all the 140 pulls. It's a hard life.
