Feeling bad for bunny

The only one who doesn't have a thread lmao
Ok, he's a bit of a tough cookie because either you love that soft-spoken, sleepy-head demure thing he's got going on, or you're likely to overlook him. But he is very important, so we should check what we know of him.

- Very strong
- MC doesn't know when she can finally meet him because he appears and disappears seemingly at random
- He's got a collar on his neck that we saw flash red and he winced like it hurt him
- Is he hiding something or he's genuinely... like that

Other things you noticed?

Xavier's my second choice, of the boys I've met so far and have at least an ACTUAL grasp on in terms of personality and setup and not just conjecture based on a picture and a teaser trailer.

1. Zayne - because he's a doctor and probably owns an alarm clock and does his own shopping. i appreciate that in a guy.
2. Xavier - because he's absolutely beautiful - honestly i think he's the straight up best looking of all of them. also: enigmatic, sweet, likely lying by a ton of omission
3. Rafayel - very un-grounded and dreamy, probably doesn't even know what an alarm clock looks like. you're persuading me with your staunch support of the guy, but I have at least another chapter to get through still.

2b - Lumiere. Let us really not forget Moon (K)Night. Me/her have been exposed to the name and the legend of the mysterious Hunter that apparently saved us all during the Chronorift (i have the name wrong again, don't i?) and its so, SO obvious that its Xavier which implies... what. Methuselah? Rip Van Wrinkle? Wakes up every couple of decades to do good deeds and then returns to Avalon for an evening while the world outside spins merrily away? Arthur sleeping under stone for the world to need him again.

2c - Xavier communes or pseudo-communes with the Wanderers. He seems to be in sympatico with them at the very least, dissolves them into their cores and then just... crushes them, instead of using or exploiting what they contain. It has occurred to me more than a couple of time to wonder if Xavier IS a Wanderer, just in a human shell or configured to be human-like. The red-flash-collar might be a literal choke chain - other end held by... Ever?

2d - Xavier is really VERY strong. I just got through an event where the subway we were riding got tied into a time knot and Xavier not only knew what it was, he did a very, VERY flashy sequence and broke us out without apparently even breaking a sweat.

2e - Surprisingly, he's actually registered as a Hunter. I was really banking on him being persona non grata at the office (Xaver WHO? We have no blonde bombshells currently registered, go fish) so having him turn up at my desk at the same time as Tara and Nero were there set me back a little. I wouldn't have blinked an eyelash if it turned out nobody else could see the guy.

Sorry about Rafayel bringing up the rear in my current spitball ranking.  Its early days yet!

Excellent job! These are all very important clues and you're absolutely asking the right questions.

Time to mention how much I like how the game treats evols. They could have given the characters a certain type of superpower and be done with it, but more than once I've been pleasantly surprised to witness how the writers know the physical implications of these powers. If you start wondering "wait, if X has Y evol, then shouldn't they be able to..." the answer is usually yes. The writing choice was bold since some LIs have absurdly powerful evols, but I appreciate the fact that they seem to know.

Never worry about being neutral (or even disliking) a character! I'll keep on shamelessly obsessing over Raf, but I don't expect you to start liking him more because of it.
If I were to give a sort of ranking based on romantic interest I'd say:
Raf
Sylus
Caleb and Xavier keep on switching places (literally cinnamon roll and sinnamon roll, but who's who depends on the moment)
Zayne

Which is funny, because if I then rank them based on how weak I am for their story, then Raf and Zayne share first place. And Raf needs the whole package of his backstory and myths etc. to get there, while Zayne only needs his present story line. Which is insane to me, and goes back to what I was saying about him being a compelling protagonist of his own story. I'm just not interested in a romance with him in the sense that as of now I don't think it adds significantly to his character and story, which is stellar on its own. Raf's character, instead, is elevated by the romance with MC because it directly pours gasoline on all his inner and outer narrative conflicts.
