okay, so, wow. i haven't updated the master rotating images on the front page since the wedding banner. yikes.

BUT

working through these, didja notice what was on the flooring of the Philos throne room? if you did, pretend you didn't because i was like wooo! lookit that little breadcrumb right there. i meant to bring it up when i saw it but then, like, forgot.

Yes! And it's also on the floor of every protofield (our battlefields) we've seen so far. And of course on the flux nexus, that couple time we've seen it. That kind of geometrical pattern has also been observed on some of the LIs' clothes in their myths.

i guess that implies at EVER has been in control / behind the scenes for unimaginable amounts of time. and the tangled ball of time-line looping we're trapped in does not seem to have solved the problem either.

There's a youtuber I've already talked to you about who does very good meta analysis videos of LADS who covered protofields in her latest video, and talked about these shapes. I can't yet share it with you because it would count as spoilers for World Underneath, but there are a couple of points I can tell you about:

- The flux nexus (the stone thing MC uses twice in the main story to get access to the protocore stored in it) looks ancient.
- Sylus tells MC that despite everyone dating the discovery of protocores to the Chronorift Catastrophe, they existed on Earth long before that moment.
- Can't go in details, but Lemurians are involved somehow
- Sylus and Xavier are the only two LIs who recognized what a Flux Nexus is. Others might know, but canon only gives us those two officially. And both are coming from the future, Xav in particular showing those same markings in the palace. We don't know yet if that's a knowledge that has reached the future in a linear way, or if this is a case of the backtrackers bringing a piece of info with them into the past, thus allowing for that piece of info to exist in the first place and then reach them into the future where they come from.
- Since it's in Wanderers' protofields, I'd say whatever human-made object uses it is only copying/harnessing something they've seen occurring naturally.

protocore shapes MEAN something? no way.

-- i remember sylus saying that protocores weren't a chronorift thing. its even stated in his anecdote where he takes over the entire Council of a world and demands a pile of tribute that he leaves that place to chase an aether core (which i always presumed was the one that ended up in his eye). if cores exist on different planets, it can't be at all related to the Chronorift. I also understood (from Zayne's Mt Eternal anecdote) that protofields exist around Wanderers, although which came first isn't clear to me. And that "stable" protofields that persist REQUIRE a flux nexus - either its planted first to create the field, or it resolves from the presence of many Wanderers. You can set me straight here, my knowledge is piecemeal.

-- no matter where you go, its always those pesky Lemurians. sea turtles all the way down, baby!

-- isn't that the $64,000 question though? does it actually come from the future, or from the past, or were we all just infected by the Backtrackers messing with time, like a particularly indelible stain.

maybe we need an egyptian pharoah myth in the way past where that damn logo is on the side of a pyramid or something.

We don't know if they mean something /in the game/ yet, but those shapes weren't chosen at random by infold, they apparently mirror in an uncanny way Kepler's platonic solid model.

"he leaves that place to chase an aether core (which i always presumed was the one that ended up in his eye)"
You'll need to watch his limited myth, but consider the option that he was chasing MC's aether core.

"that protofields exist around Wanderers, although which came first isn't clear to me"
There is a World Underneath text entirely dedicated to protofields. I can't promise it will make things clear, but it will establish a few solid points.

"we need an egyptian pharoah myth"
I so want something like that, you have no idea. I hope Sylus and Zayne's third myths will be prehistoric.
