okay, i've had a chance over last night and today to really get into it (i played enough when it came out to max out the points you can earn each session but stopped there as I had other things to concentrate on). it doesn't hurt either that this session's Trial Companion is X-02 Ultimate Weapon. Sweet molasses, his playstyle and animations are the bomb.
(we have learned that Caleb does, in fact, stay awake for up to five days at a time when he needs to get something done. that's an interesting little tidbit and also subtly showcases his modification advantages.)
i am really liking this new grind! The story itself is interesting and the way the various characters interact as you explore diffferent paths is well done - if you do this, that person reacts different, leading to a different ending. even the mechanics of having to open up various endings through both deliberate manipulation of your choices and some RNG has been fun.
the graphics are beautiful, its really hard sometimes to remember this is meant to be a mobile game. i could wish there was a way to get a full background on the art for screencap but if there is one, i haven't found it.
i'm very pleased - this is a 10/10 from me, I think it scratches a great itch and since i'm not trying to bang everything out in a single week this is going to keep me occupied for awhile. each run is just long enough to feel like you're doing something without wasting an entire evening trying to get somewhere.
i spent the last hour or so going over my boys' individual webpages and getting all of them up to date with the cheat sheets for Abyssal Chaos and Echo of Kahli so i don't miss any routes, so that's one little maintenance chore down.
