as usual, i haven't actually gotten to play this card yet but as i'm assembling my little screenshots behind the scenes on my webpage, i really think we need to take a moment to just absorb this storytelling masterpiece.

lookitit. LOOK AT IT. my god, it's beautiful. like, what the fuck is going on here, exactly.  Why is Xavier sitting in a shallow tub of water. why is the water *running*. why is, our lord of light himself, holding a gun with ammo ready to reload on the ledge. why oh why is the outside light apocalypse red.

there are bloodstained bandages around his wrist and draped over the side of the tub, which is schmexy-hot.

my first fan reaction is ... is this Dawnbreaker's world? because this whole look would completely fit into that film noire nightmare. 

incorrect answers only please :D  build me a scenario that would go along with this crazy.

I will make up some absurd scenario as soon as I can stop thinking about how, if he stands up, only his ass will be properly wet. And also, how can that tub be so shallow???

to add to the shenanigans, there appears to be two pills and an open pill bottle on the right side table along with a glass of water.

also what looks like either a piece of faded art or more likely a fogged mirror on the wall behind him. facing into the tub. you know. for when you need to inspect yourself for a really close shave.

also i didn't catch it until i zoomed in, but he's got a bleeding scrape on his cheek and blood on the edge of his left collar.

his pant legs are wet up til about mid-calf, which tracks in this oddly shallow tub thing. maybe there are ongoing water restrictions in this world. maybe you can't install a tub that holds more than 100 fluid gallons or you're contravening local building bylaw permits.

i jest because i love. this is such a cool world setup but the details are whack.
