for a trailer that short that says about three things. wow. okay.

"The Tracker Team has returned from Earth. The Deepspace Tunnel will be closed and we shall return to the era before immortality."

this.. implies that something in the Tunnel... hang on. hang the heck on.

If the closure of the Tunnel will cut off immortality, is it because the girlfriend will be on the other side of it, left/abandoned in the past? was that what Traceback I was doing - leaving us here? only something went wrong and they couldn't get back and close the Tunnel so Traceback II came to try and fix it?

It could be because MC will be on the other side of it, it could be because it will somehow stop Ever from completing his program. Either way, looking at Philos through the tunnel, Deepspace voyage from the Fleet, and Wanderers constantly pouring in is a problem.
Unclear whether the Tracker Team is Traceback I or II.

What is also interesting is Xav's "This is my 214th spring on Earth. And it will be the last."

I recall you wondering when Traceback II (Xav) had arrived on Earth. Here you go, in freaking 1820. No wonder he has so many degrees. Also Jeremiah's comment about people forgetting them, and the fact that they are a mistake in that timeline.
