nope that worked. perchance was "Disable Smilies" on the side mis-clicked? which thing were you trying to do?

I was copying and pasting the emoji of the person kneeling down from google. It turned up fine in the quick box reply, but soon as I posted it was changed into a question mark ("disable smilies" is not ticked on, but I think smilies and emojis are perhaps considered differently?)

yeah, if its a cut/paste from somewhere else, the forum may strip it out as potentially malicious. if its not hard coded as a smiley you can pick from the internal list (even if you type it "properly" instead) and its not inserted as a linked picture, i could see why it might not translate.
