i was JUST watching the new trailer drop with the ... myth and companion and wowsers. okay! i like the voice actor a lot so far and i really like that our new scent-motivated boyfriend has an actually complete family that he's completely shrugging off to give us an entertaining first date. sorry gramma! hate to miss your meatloaf.

A++ for us also finally being bad ass again with fighting and guns.

who IS this guy? what's his actual connection to Ever? howfore did he end up in the furry persuasion?! i have enough diamonds still to get his myth but then i'm flat busted so Infold better calm their tits down for the next couple of months :P

i was watching some horrible takes on social media and i just gotta say:

i am not sure about Valko to be fair. his concept seems to intrude into both Sylus and Caleb's spaces a tad too much for my liking from what we've seen so far and since i like both Sylus and Caleb quite a lot, i am side-eyeing where they expect to take this. but i am also interested to SEE where they're gonna take this, because either Valko is:

1) exactly as presented
2) very different in execution from what's been presented
3) they intend to mess around with Caleb and Sylus to pull them away from where Valko intends to live

I am also VERY INTERESTED in if they involve Rafayel-as-assassin in some capacity in some Anecdote or something to contrast with Valko's Ever connection(s). Rafe has been working his way through the roster, after all.

The mass hysteria was mass-hystering I'm telling you. I've read some very stupid takes. Some with legitimate worries and criticisms, but so many just plain nonsensical.

That being said, I absolutely see the the space Valko is trying to elbow himself into occupying. We were missing a true CEO (Chairman, actually) trope, since Sylus ended up being closer to Mafia Boss than anything else, but they both have the rich business man angle. Big open personality like pre-bomb Caleb (a little after-bomb too now that he's healing, the baby), a similar cockiness and rage-baiting playfulness to both of them. Territorial about his space, though I don't think it's the N109 zone and it's absolutely expected of a werewolf with a whole pack behind him. Works alongside Ever but is not really WITH them like Caleb. Enemies to lovers in an "I'll fight you wait I kinda like you on top of me" that is very very very similar to Sylus and MC, even though I think Valko will be waaaaaay more bottom-y about it. Sylus is always the big Dom even when he's a softie dork, and he calls MC a kitten because that's the power image she casts next to him no matter how badass she is and acts. With Valko I think we'll have a more "equal" (allow me the term, it's not correct because she IS equal to all other LIs) relationship in that they'll be on the same level of power. Maybe. That's the vibe I get.

I'm not focusing a lot on the similarities with Sylus and Caleb because Valko is officially Raf's foil, so there are a lot of parallels and contrasts that are coming up with that already. And as of now online discourse is way too chaotic to be coherent yet, there's people complaining that he copied Caleb because he carried an umbrella under the rain.

All in all, he was written for me I fear. Big himbo energy, werewolf dealing with sniffing his mate for the first time, territorial and protective of his pack, cocky and arrogant but is actually a wet dog, a whole wink-wink nudge-nudge to knotting with the puzzle pieces "genetically locked". I'm not god's strongest soldier, I don't have the will to invest funds into maintaining two mains, but fuck I'm tempted.
Also, all the LIs are heartbreakingly tragic in at least some part of their story, and I'm very curious to find out Valko's damage. We might learn about it with the livestream tomorrow if they decide to drop another PV of him there.

bingo on the "damage" comment. like, i am seriously unclear how Valko can be a CEO of a company aligned to Ever and still be boyfriend material, that's my stumbling point at the moment. what IS the deal going to be?

if Sylus is the indulgent enabler of our worst impulses and Caleb just wants everybody dead around in a clear circle around us encompassing a hard perimeter of many kilometers, is Valko going to be the one we ride into battle and bathe in the blood afterwards to get a nice skin lustre happening?

wow, i am so glad i follow nothing official except for Youtube because I wanna see the trailers when they drop.

they... nuked Valko entirely? like, he's dead and will never appear? not just pushed back or we'll do some other stuff first since everybody is making agitated jazz hands about it, but completely dropped into an oubliette?

what the hell. i am not getting involved in whatever this is but i have to admit i'm reading other people's takes on social media and feeling like i need both popcorn and maybe a comfy blanket.
