i am in trouble. Caleb is actually the LEAST interesting one in all of these - my god, Zayne! Zayne was DESIGNED for this banner, look at that man. that ponytail!
and Rafayel is chef's kiss as always, that man swaggers like he cornered the market yesterday. but Xavier's swordplay kindled? oh boy oh boy.
this is terrible, but I almost feel like I will need to drop Sylus and make a decision on whether i'm chasing gegeboss just to not feel disloyal, Xavier or Fish God. this is probably going to need a couple of coin tosses, they all look beautiful.

Zayne really looks like he's at home here, I 100% agree! They did an amazing job with his hair, possibly the most natural looking of the lot (Caleb and Sylus unfortunately go to the bottom of the ladder, those are extensions and I won't be convinced otherwise).
Rafayel going full imperial prince is absolutely delicious and I can't wait to see what the writers cooked with this banner. Xavier being a disciple together with MC like in his standard myth <3 and the animations in his kindle are so so beautiful (they also overlap with the ones from his third myth, for added pain).
I honestly still don't know who I'll select together with Raf. I usually go for Raf-Sy-Cal but I really don't know this time. I might check the cards on youtube before deciding.
Slightly unrelated, but the update that will come with this banner has some very juicy protocore news:

Counting how I still needed to reach 85 pulls to get both the outfit and the hairstyle, I managed to secure both Sylus (who appeared at random after 40 pulls) and Rafayel within 96 wishes. I'll stop here even though a red stella for Caleb would be very useful because I have to think about Raf's bday+reruns ;_;
I'm starting to play Rafayel's card and just did a triple take: the Courier NPC is Zayne's VA lmao
EDIT: he might also be the Bookstore Clerk. Or maybe I'm hallucinating

awww! that sounds so cute! I'll have to watch it on youtube this weekend if i can find the time. i might have to make another emergency trip but there's a bunch of 'waiting to arrive' hours where i could hunker over my little screen and entertain my seat neighbor.
i was around 90 pulls or so before I got both Sylus and Caleb. i kind of really want Xavier as well but it would have to be diamonds all the way and i don't think i can justify it. want, yes. need, probably not. but damn it!
and i saw the new Auto-Protocore thing and mashed all the buttons! I.. .like it? sometimes i just don't have the time or brain power to swap a pile of cores around on the next orbit fight so i just kinda go with what's on them and hope for the best? i've squeaked out some wins on fights that i probably should have invested more into, but you know, sometimes you just gotta take what you're handed.
i don't think i trust this new system to dispose of the right protocores, i'm gonna keep doing that manually. i have realized that now i've actually got a back log of the things now that i'm mostly through the "collect anything that seems reasonable" phase and can really start narrowing in on what i'm missing.
this is supposed to be a dating game, good gravy.
and got X02 level 70 and ascended this morning, so now i am unsure if i want to push for 80 ascended on the pair or go back and start boosting some neglected lunar cards. decisions, decisions...
IN FURTHER NEWS i was a dork and spent my $6 to get the fancy bedroom set for the event and then spent a quality 20 minutes arranging them in my room to my satisfaction. the lighting system is so crap, i can barely stand it - you can't move any ceiling lights around (one per room/customer!) and wall lighting is inconsistent at best. argh, i say, aaaaargh.
i decided to make my bedroom a garden and i ran out of money like a fool so now i have to wait to do anything at all because i am skint.

I still only managed to properly watch Raf's and Sylus' cards. I need a weekend for the weekend, I'm cramming all the free-time activities together and always end up not having enough time to cover everything.
After using it for a few days, I have to say I like the protocore auto-match, but it's still something you'll have to check manually in specific cases (for example for boss fights where they spend 80% of the time without a shield; the auto-match will work as if you need damage to weakness bonus, where crit is actually the correct choice). Fun stuff is that thanks to the latest 4* Raf card (which was a gorgeous red stella, yesssss) I finally managed to create a full red team with at least all 4* cards and jumped from open orbit 160 (where I was stuck) to 220 (where I'm currently stuck). Good times.
I'm still debating on the fancy bedroom set. It's calling me, but I might decide to spend those bucks to buy an outfit in where winds meet (it has like a crop top/jacket thing showing skin above the belly button and I'm weak okay). On the other hand, buying the new fancy bedroom set would give a few red diamonds, which is always nice.
Unrelated, but related to the "raf is very scary" from the other thread, I laughed a lot at this tweet (I wouldn't consider it spoiler since everything is shown in the kindle already, but ymmv)

I watched Sylus' card not last night but the night before and I should be able to get to Caleb's tonight. Time has been a bit of a premium lately, I lost about five days to various shenanigans so I'm only just now getting back into the swing of anything other than dailies.
re/protocores in the new combat system - I like it and I kind of don't like it after using it for a bit. I like it because it does make things easier. just hit a button and see if it works. I don't like it because I don't have to think about it and if I don't think about it, I'm going to forget what I've spent so hard trying to learn. so i see both good and bad in it but admittedly its really nice when i'm stressed for time to just slap on the recommendation and give it a shot.
i am having a hard time getting past Orbit 90 to be fair, but that's mostly because I still have a few teams with a 3* on them and a few more cards that could stand a few more levels (some of them are still at 60) and more than a handful of cores that need to jump from +3/+6 to +9/+12 but scraping the leveling stuff needed is A Thing.
i am not in a hurry, game's not going anywhere.
for what it's worth i really like the bedroom set but you will absolutely get more mileage out of a belly button crop jacket, so if you're accepting votes, i vote for that.
Sylus gives SUCH good profile face.
