Yes the SHC is definitely end-game content. Players use how many times they've cleared it as curriculum to prove they're a proper battle girlie. As of now I can only get 10 stars out of...36 I believe. The thing that can fuck you up is that every time it resets itself after a week or so you get new stellactrum combos, so based on your cards you might do better one week and worse the next
P.s. I've also played the new chapter and oh my god. You'll need to reach Homecoming Wings, then read all the texts, watch the myths, and only then go for the last chapter. There's too much info that is taken for granted because us players have spent months playing and replaying it.

oh noes. i have to invest more time, effort, attention and energy into this story!? this is terrible, why didn't anyone tell me?
i just finished all my chores for the day, so i'm just about to queue up some tea and Xavier's story so we are indeed moving on with happiness in our hearts and a faint headache from dealing with government paperwork.
are you done with whatever you had to do for your rapidly approaching deadline? did you have to dump half the game to make enough space for the update? :P

I mean you could also just vibe with the main story I guess, but they really went all in trying to bring back snippets you had read 5 months prior. You might want to bring out the flashcards.
Xav's branch is so juicy too! Second favorite after Raf's for this section.
And no unfortunately I have the last sprint to do. Deadline is in the next 24 hours, and I've just received feedback where I have to fix a couple of things last minute orz
It's almost done though, I see the light at the end of the tunnel
The update was painless! I had cleared the in-game cache anyway (deleted basically 1gb of content) just to be sure, but in the end there was no need

Also! There's a redeem code you can use to get 200 red diamonds and 520 stamina!
Go to your settings, at the bottom of the page there's the "More" button, then Redeem, and write 520DAYBYDAY

for a hot second there, i had over 700 stamina. so i blew it all on ascending one of the Abysswalker cards and halfway through ascending the second.
that felt really nice just for a moment.
is there somewhere i should bookmark for later to see what "the entire fandom" is doing?

Yeah bulk stamina is truly something miraculous. I had to use mine to try and build up the lunar cards for Raf a bit more because I'm stubbornly trying to clear open orbit 70 with him in both teams, even though the second one is obviously trying to get me to use Zayne. Which I would, if Zayne wasn't the least upgraded team after Caleb. And I just don't have the resources to build up all 5 LIs at the same time right now, so we get Raf first then Xavier since I have Lumiere. But building any Raf's card is now a pain because they're all above lvl 40 and 50 and 60, so they cost a lot.
Growing pains. But it's only a matter of time, and I'm patient.
Well, it's mostly the "love and deepspace" tag on tumblr, twitter, and reddit. Reddit is probably the only one which will properly keep a timeline of older posts, but just in case you won't be able to find these posts anymore, I'll spare you the trouble: you'll see the exact same thing in the next main update (rumor has it it could be in july), and it usually goes like this:
- Funny and extremely emotional posts of people screaming and crying over the events
- Timid attempts at analyzing the content and organizing the timeline (half of which are canonically wrong and clearly didn't understand what was going on either in image, text, or both)
- Required "MC is so much closer to /insert LI/ in /insert LI branch/ compared to all the others, my main is obviously endgame!"
- Required "I can't believe MC spent one night with /insert LI/ in /insert LI branch/ and then the next day with /other LI/ in /other LI branch/! The main story writing is so inconsistent!"
- Required "It doesn't make sense that MC did this mission and did not bring /insert random LI/ in /other LI branch/. She wouldn't have done that, this is OOC and the writers don't know what they're doing"
- Required "Main story doesn't make sense, she should know of /insert other LI/ and the LIs should know each other, but they're not even mentioned in /individual LI branch/!"
It's basically people not understanding otome games and ship wars and plain ol' "can't read" while they receive emotional damage because of main story angst. Very entertaining.

your description of the fandom hype cycle made me grin out loud again. it do be like that, don't it? i might have clapped my hands giddily myself when girlfriend crawled over Sylus in the car, obvious murder in her heart.
there's in-game reasons the boys are separated, but the real answer is the genre we're playing. which i assume "everybody" knows but blows right past, heading straight for the problems inherent in trying to give the Watsonian explanation.
i am actually very grateful that the branching love interest paths do not conflict with each other or even acknowledge each other - i do not need to manage jealousy meters in my fun time. right now, our girlfriend is occupying five (soon to be six?) parallel timelines that are fairly close to each other in the space-time continuum but do not overlap and it should absolutely stay that way.
unfortunately tumblr's 'love and deepspace' tag is mostly full of "How He Cuddles You" and fanfiction of Caleb stapling you to a wall - i'm sure everybody means well but neither thing is all that compelling to me on a personal level. i want the juicy meta, damn it.
although i guess that bring us back... here. a little forum, with persistent posts and threads, separated out into easily digestible chunks, artfully divided into "here's how you play the game", "here's how i feel about the game" and "how much money do you think i can get away with stealing from the grocery budget this week before somebody notices".

Yeah this update apparently got a lot of people mad because instead of a clear separation between Sylus' and Zayne's branches, you get Sylus' ending before the end of the chapter and then you narratively switch to Zayne's the next day, and a worryingly big chunk of people are freaking out because there's "romance in the main story line", which they were used to considering neutral with romance being only in the cards/affinity bonds etc. Except it was never neutral when a LI was on screen, even if we weren't in a properly dedicated branch like the ones you just played through. All the other chapters are linear in timeline, and you slip into a specific LI's branch the moment you have said LI in front of you.
Plus, time has passed in the main story line, it's normal that MC is more flirty compared to the start of the game where she'd just met these guys?
idk. I guess some don't like the fact that they can't ignore MC being lovey-dovey with a LI they don't like because it's right there in the main story and they can't avoid it like they can avoid a card.
95% it will be like that once we get the next update with the other 3 LIs, I'll look forward to you witnessing the next implosion.
LOL the main tag on tumblr sure loves caleb a lot, I definitely noticed that. Especially because the fandom insists on tagging every single LI even if the post is only about one, so it's easy to see if very active blogs have a main or two they focus on.
In the time I've spent scouring the tag I found some good Raf and Sylus meta, but surprisingly or not, the bulk of lore and character analysis seems to exist on youtube.
