RE: Gallery - ChicletPrime - 01-08-2026 the title plot thickens! i am not used to seeing myself this much either, but its super fun running around in my swishy little sundress number, it has to be said! sometimes i wonder just how other people are unhealthily wrapped up in this game as a literal self-insert, but then i shake my head and remind myself that my way of playing it is true, objective way to play and everybody else is just, you know, wrong :P probably helps that i play a lot of games and while i might love my avatar to heck and back most of the time, i don't actually think they're me. they are a narrative foil and even if i spent 12 minutes figuring out the exact shape of their nose at the very start, the story is theirs, not mine. and THIS story is fractured across a million possibilities so there's no one, true story anyways (well, other than the repeating elements of doom and tragedy oh god why did i remind myself about that). i want a few dozen more options for love interest interactions in the home environment, for sure. gimme them water pistols from Xavier's beach card, damn it. also, i am very much liking that at least for most of the Home objects, you can clip them into walls and into each other, which helps when you're trying to achieve a certain aesthetic in the one corner of that massive living room. i am not pleased that there doesn't seem to be a way to put a door into the bedroom to lead into the garden. RE: Gallery - Coldsaturn - 01-12-2026 I hate the load limit per room. It doesn't make any sense with small decorative objects weighing a ton whereas a huge tree barely counts. Players have figured out a glitch to put more objects in a room than it is allowed, but I don't want to break the game already lol What surprised me in a very good way is that each LI will do a certain action their own way. It would have been easy for infold to slap the same animation over everyone, instead they went out of their way to make each LI shine with their own personality. Well done. And once again this game teaches me the limits of my brain regarding what I consider realistic, uncanny valley, or completely artificial. In the cards and kindles I've always been sure of how much the LIs' faces carry the entire thing (not just because they're hot). It's the micro-expressions, the way their eyes move and sparkle, how their entire head creates body language. They don't need to have insane detail on how the mouth enunciates words because the rest is more than enough to sell realism. But in this home system it's clear how the entire body map is extremely well done too, because here you can see that their eyes are dead. Of course they didn't put more resources into making detailed models in this part of the game, so you get 3D characters with regular video game level dead-eye faces. Even their hands clip into objects and bodies during animations. And yet, just because the generic body language is mapped so well, it sells realism even without proper details. RE: Gallery - ChicletPrime - 01-12-2026 The only thing I wish they would do in the Home system (well, the only thing that immediately jumps out at me as needed) is having both the girlfriend and the love interest faces turn to look at each other when they are in proximity. Its kind of weird and offputting to have Caleb standing five inches from me as I charge up to initiate an interaction and he's just standing there staring over my head as if I am chopped chicken liver. EDIT SOME DAYS LATER: I half take this back. Caleb actually does track the girl-fiend (heh) if they're in the same room together unless you're literally standing on his toes, then he does stare over her widdle head. but the girlfriend does not seem to track him back, so i think that's the problem my subconscious is tangling on. I wish I had more time to play with Home, its starting to seem like a lot of fun now that the initial overwhelm of it all is washing off but man, I need to retire yesterday or something in order to have enough hours in the day to play with lounge chair placement.. RE: Gallery - ChicletPrime - 01-26-2026 i am not sure my girl is ready to rule an empire; s'good thing her big brother has sharp teeth. RE: Gallery - Coldsaturn - 01-28-2026 I haven't seen your MC in forever <3 hello <33 Also Caleb is so hot in this (not just in this, at the cost of my sanity). It's that cold glare he gives when his time with meimei is being interrupted and it's clearly not a matter of life and death so he's gonna make it about that to teach a lesson. RE: Gallery - Coldsaturn - 02-04-2026 I'm sorry but I figured out how to make the new Home System bug work and will henceforth be insufferable! (that's not photoshop, you legitimately get a duplicate in glint - the only limitation is that you can't control the duplicate, it will simply stand there chilling) ![]() ![]() RE: Gallery - ChicletPrime - 02-04-2026 excellent! i added a link to the homepage for the instructions for however long it remains before being patched out (maybe never!) fishcrow 4 lyf? :P "You know its not personal." His hand still lingers on my cheek, almost as if he's forgotten. "Is it ever, with you?" "Sometimes. Just not... this time." "Whatever. You know where the door is, trying not to fall on anything important on your way out." His hand finally falls away even as he laughs, turning. His voice is deep enough to gouge. "Like you? I would never be so crass." |
